The Council of International Visitors in Collier County (CIVIC) is a non-profit volunteer organization with members from Collier County and neighboring areas of Southwest Florida.
The mission of CIVIC is to facilitate Collier County citizen diplomacy and hospitality efforts in receiving overseas guests of the United States Government and other hosting organizations seeking to learn more about Southwest Florida’s cultural and economic lifestyle.
These individuals are potential or current mid-career leaders in professions, government, business and the arts. Their alumni include dozens of heads of government and over 4,000 ministers of state. The State Department’s International Visitors Program promotes interaction of these individuals with American counterparts around the country on subjects of mutual interest.
CIVIC is one of 95 similar councils in cities throughout the country affiliated with the National Council for International visitors (NCIV) in Washington, D.C.
