Infrastructure
Collier County has a strong infrastructure in place including four airports located within the county; close proximity to the Southwest Florida International Airport; direct access to Interstate 75, which extends from Canada to Naples and connects the west coast to the east coast of the state; and widespread availability of high-speed internet and telecommunications..

Quality of Place
Collier County is world-renowned for its beautiful beaches, limitless recreational opportunities and over 80 championship golf courses. Marco Island is the #1 Island in the Nation and #4 in the World (Trip Advisor). Naples has ranked as the 2nd Happiest Seaside Town (Coastal Living) and as America’s 9th best small town (Smithsonian). The Collier County School District is an “A” ranked school district in the State of Florida with an annual graduation rate of 81%. There are three institutions of higher education in the county (Ave Maria University, Florida Southwestern State College and Hodges University) and Florida Gulf Coast University located 20 miles north. Collier County is also home to two world class hospitals, NCH Healthcare System and Physicians Regional Healthcare System. Collier County’s “after work environment” includes miles of beaches, acres of conservation land, biking paths, hiking trails, Naples Zoo, Children’s Museum of Naples, Artis Naples and Naples Botanical Gardens. The average annual temperature is 74 degrees Fahrenheit. Talent
Collier County is home to a diverse manufacturing cluster including Arthrex, Inc., Azimuth Technology, Haynes Corp. and Structure Medical. The educational system is responsive to the needs of companies such as these and has created machinist programs to enhance the workforce. The public school system also has Engineering Academies through the National Academy Foundation to create a pool of students ready for higher education or technical training.

Florida Gulf Coast University and Hodges University contribute significantly to the region’s capacity to develop students attractive to employers within the target sector. These, as well as Ave Maria, Immokalee Technical Center, and Lorenzo Walker display particularly robust training capacity in degree fields attractive to Manufacturing employers.
