So
you’ve browsed through our other articles
and resources, but you still feel like there’s
something missing. Maybe that “something”
is you! The Chamber welcomes written contributions
to its young professionals section, and we’re
always looking for new voices - it’s easy,
it’s fun, and it’s a great way to get
your name out there. We just have a few rules of
thumb that we ask you to follow.

-
Keep it Simple:
If you can say something in 500 words, why use
1,000? Readers who feel overwhelmed won’t
read very far, no matter how good the article
is.
-
Stick to Business:
This is a business resource, not a
personal journal. That doesn’t mean you
can’t be creative, but know your audience!
-
Give Unto Caesar
That Which is Caesar’s:
Plagiarism is just as serious now as
it was in college. If you cite material from
other sources, make sure you give those sources
credit for their work. They'll appreciate the
gesture, and are likely to respond in kind.
A little respect goes a long way, even on the
Internet.
-
This is the Greater
Naples Chamber of Commerce:
You never know who might be reading, so postings
shouldn’t be defamatory or libelous toward
any group, individual, business, or otherwise.
But of course, you knew that already.
Don’t take it personally
when we say this, but please remember that all article
submissions are subject to evaluation by Chamber
staff and may be edited for brevity or clarity.
If you are interested in submitting
articles, please e-mail Marci Seamples for more
information at marci@napleschamber.org.
