Center for Manufacturing Excellence offers free courses

The Center for Manufacturing Excellence (CME) is offering open enrollment, no fee courses for Collier County workers and students in the Spring 2022 term.

With their hands-on learning approach, the CME blends career subject knowledge with collaborative training, so students can reach master level skills and spike their competitiveness in this technical industry.

The institution has partnered with the Greater Naples Chamber, Collier County Schools and local manufacturing leaders to ensure workforce training and development, enhanced skills are becoming more employable when trained and rapidly gained credentials are being earned during these offered short-term training courses.

Available classes include Machining Basics, Advanced Print Reading, Manual Part Inspection, Beginning Print Reading, and a workshop series featuring methods, principles and implementation in the manufacture industry.

CME also offers a virtual, at your own pace CNC training with courses specializing in machine safety, speeds and deeds, and other programming projects.

Employers can take advantage of this educational opportunity for their current and future employees because great training increases employee development, but will ensure workers can meet the critical skills needed to work safely and effectively in the manufacturing and technical industries.
