Economic diversification is necessary for Collier’s future. Community leaders need to look for ways to diversify the economy, while maintaining the sense of place that makes Collier County a desirable place to live, work and visit. While investing in talent is critical to diversifying our economy, Collier leaders must also invest in the necessary infrastructure – including a regulatory system that encourages economic opportunities, roadways and utilities – for businesses to grow here. The Chamber supports funding for Florida Flex training grants, which act as a critical tool for companies looking to train employees and continues to advocate for the reduction of Florida’s business rent tax.
