Marketing and ​Communications Specialist

​(part-time)

The part-time Marketing and Communications Specialist position is the creative, innovative, contemporary talent that works to enhance, support and promote the Greater Naples Chamber's current marketing and communication strategies.  This position reports directly to the VP of Marketing and supports the Greater Naples Chamber, Leadership Collier Foundation and The Partnership for Collier’s Future Economy.
​The Chamber needs your expertise to…
  • Update our website and collateral materials
  • Monitor and track social media analytics
  • Coordinate, schedule and report Member Spotlights eblasts
  • Revise templates for presentations
  • Develop a marketing campaign for monthly and recurring Chamber events
  • Publish member press releases on the Chamber website
  • Proofread press releases, editorials, e-newsletters etc. as necessary
  • Write, post and coordinate blog posts
  • Develop and organize content for Chamber Connect (weekly e-newsletter)
  • Photograph and video Chamber events
  • Provide graphic design for monthly and recurring events and promotions
  • Prepare website and CRM analytics reports
  • Implement purchased website advertising
  • Collect data and prepare market research reports (for annual publications & events)
  • Design digital and print advertisements cohesive with branding
  • Provide strategic and creative marketing insight
  • Manage and maintain our phone system
  • Cooperate and complete other spontaneous assignments
 
Submit your resume if you have…
  • Excellent writing skills and the ability to prepare written materials
  • Creative skills in social media marketing implementation and recording analytics
  • Excellent organizational skills, focus for details, a joyful countenance while managing multiple requests, and the unique ability to keenly assess priorities and meet deadlines
  • Graphic design experience – specifically in designing social media graphics, flyers, PowerPoints, advertisements
  • Proven skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft Office
  • General office administration knowledge and aren’t afraid to use the copy machine
  • A great sense of humor and strong work ethic
  • A bachelor’s degree preferably in Communications, Marketing, Advertising or Business
  • 2+ years of experience in related fields
 
Who is the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce?
The Greater Naples Chamber is a nonprofit organization that focuses on business and the economy.  We are a resource, support and advocate for the business community.
 
What makes working at The Chamber unique?
The Chamber sets the standard for a very inviting workplace environment.  Flexible schedule, remote work opportunities, family friendly and pet friendly are just some of the perks of working at The Chamber.  The Chamber is closed from December 24th- January 1st each year so their employees can enjoy time with their families.  There are also employee retreats and community volunteer days which create comradery and give Chamber employees time away from the office in unique environments.
 
How does the Marketing and Communications Specialist fit in at The Chamber?
This position is a part-time permanent position that is viable to our organization.  It is an important and challenging position with high-level tasks to complete.  The Chamber expects this position to work 20-25 hours each week and although you can set your own schedule, an expectation of this position is to attend some Chamber functions, which are outside regular office house.  Due to COVID-19, all in-person events are suspended until further notice. Please check our events calendar for the type of events the Chamber hosts.
