Chamber members are invited to celebrate their business milestones with a professionally hosted ribbon cutting ceremony by the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce. This special occasion highlights your business and provides a meaningful opportunity to connect with fellow members and the broader community. 

Please plan ahead and allow at least six weeks’ notice to secure your preferred date and time. Ribbon cuttings are scheduled on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 12:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., or 4:00 p.m. 

Qualifying for Chamber hosted Ribbon Cutting events 

Your business must be a Chamber Champion, Premier Membership, Supporter, Benefactor, Legacy Leaders and Chairman’s Circle to qualify for one of these celebrations: 

  • Grand Opening – Celebrate your launch within the first 90 days of opening.
  • Milestone Anniversary – Honor major milestones in your business journey
  • New Location Opening – Highlight a move, expansion, or major facility upgrade
  • Groundbreaking – Commemorate the beginning of a new construction project.

  • List your event on the Chamber website calendar. 
  • Promote the event on Chamber social media platforms. 
  • Invite Chamber Ambassador committee. 
  • Coordinate with Chamber staff to attend your ceremony. 
  • Provide ceremonial ribbon and large scissors 
  • On-site support to ensure smooth event flow 
  • Chamber employee welcomes guests and introduces VIPs. 
  • Post a photo on the Chamber’s social media tagging your business after your event. 

Essential Planning Steps 

  • Scheduling (6 weeks advance request) - contact the Chamber as early as possible to secure your date. 
  • Ribbon cuttings times: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 12:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., or 4:00 p.m. 
  • Guest list management: 
    • Your responsibility: Invite customers, prospects, friends, family, and neighboring businesses. 
    • Make personal contact with your local mayor and officials for added impact. 
    • Plan for a significant number of guests to ensure good turnout. 
  • Day-of-Event Essentials 
    • Be ready to go 30 minutes before ribbon cutting event starts. 
    • Greet & meet with Chamber employee 30 minutes before ribbon cutting event start time. 
    • Company signage visible for photos. 
    • Adequate parking for expected attendees. 
    • Refreshments – Light appetizers and beverages for evening events, or coffee and pastries for morning events. 
  • Recommended Enhancements 
    • Signage in front of your business. 
    • Free gifts, drawings, or giveaways (great for collecting contact information!). 
    • Tours of your facility (if appropriate). 
    • Podium and microphone for events with 50+ people. 
    • Partner with fellow Chamber members for catering and services. 
  • Chamber employee will arrive 30 minutes before the event start time. 
  • Chamber employee welcomes guests and introduce VIPs. 
  • Ceremony begins promptly as scheduled. 
  • Business opening remarks. 
  • Business Presentation – Your opportunity to address guests about your business. 
  • Ribbon Cutting – The ceremonial moment with professional photos 
  • Networking & Refreshments – Guests enjoy mingling and learning about your business 
  • Preparation Strategies 
    • If this is a grand opening, be operational 2-3 weeks before ribbon cutting event to work out any issues. 
    • Promote on your social media and tag the Chamber. 
    • Remember: Every attendee is a potential customer who can influence others.
