NextGen Speaker Series: Carol Lavin Bernick

The Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce is proud to partner with the NextGen™ Speaker Series for its 2027 season, bringing together business and community leaders to foster leadership, mentorship, empowerment and philanthropy.

Carol Lavin Bernick built a distinguished 37-year career at Alberto-Culver, the company founded by her parents, where she led the consumer products business for more than a decade, succeeded her father as Executive Chairman in 2004, and oversaw the company's sale to Unilever in 2011.

During her tenure she created iconic brands including Mrs. Dash and Static Guard, and worked across a portfolio that included Alberto VO5, TRESemmé and Nexxus. She implemented a nationally recognized cultural overhaul that lifted both sales and profitability.

Today she is CEO of Polished Nickel Capital Management and chairs the Northwestern Health Network. She founded The Friends of Prentice, Enchanted Backpack and CC's Wish List, and is the author of Gather As You Go, with proceeds supporting charity. Her philanthropic strategy emphasizes efficiency, direct impact and community collaboration. She divides her time between Chicago and Naples.

The NextGen Speaker Series is an invitation-only program. Admission to live events is included with NextGen membership, along with access to the full library of past speaker recordings and year-round networking opportunities.
