Final chance to register for STARability’s Run, Walk & Roll 5K presented by Inspired Closets SWFL

The countdown is on for STARability Foundation’s 9th Annual Run, Walk & Roll 5K, presented by Inspired Closets SWFL, on Saturday, Oct. 17 at Baker Park in Naples. Beginning at 8:30 a.m., the family- and dog-friendly event welcomes all ages and abilities for a morning of connection and celebration supporting STARability’s mission to serve individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities.
Registration is $45 and includes a finisher medal plus access to an after-party featuring local vendors, food trucks, live entertainment and family-friendly activities. Children ages 12 and younger participate for free.
Families, friends and coworkers can also take advantage of the “Find Your Five, Save Together!” promotion. When five participants register in the same transaction, the fifth registration is free. Participants can register at STARability.org/5K.
Returning as presenting sponsor for the fourth consecutive year, Inspired Closets SWFL continues its longstanding commitment to STARability’s mission. Co-owners H.L. and Kerry Burkley are dedicated supporters and STARability parents whose son, Henry, was an active participant in the Jr. Trailblazer Academy. Their support also includes the annual STAR Gala and the company’s “Closets for a Cause” initiative benefiting STARability’s future Golisano Program Center.
“We are incredibly grateful to Inspired Closets for continuing to stand alongside our STARs,” said Karen Govern, CEO of STARability Foundation. “Their support ensures we can create more opportunities for our participants to build independence, pursue their goals and shine. We hope the community will join us to celebrate and help make a lasting difference.”
This year’s event marks the 10th anniversary of the Trailblazer Academy, celebrating a decade of helping individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities develop life skills, explore employment opportunities and build meaningful connections. Attendees, including current and former participants, families, volunteers, community partners and supporters, will come together to recognize the milestone. Attendees can also shop STAR Studio items after the race, including its annual calendar and new apparel featuring designs inspired by the anniversary.
Led by Madison Nehls, chief program officer and event chair, the Run, Walk & Roll 5K is STARability’s second-largest annual fundraiser. Proceeds directly support STARability’s innovative programs and services, including vocational training, workforce development, continuing education, health and wellness initiatives, community engagement and social opportunities that promote confidence, independence and lifelong success.
To register, visit STARability.org/5K. The event will be held rain or shine.
