Onda Housing Group begins pre-leasing at Bayshore Pines in Fort Myers

Onda Housing Group has opened pre-leasing at Bayshore Pines, a new affordable housing complex in North Fort Myers. The new community will offer one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments for income qualified residents, with move-ins anticipated to begin in October.

            Bayshore Pines is being developed by Onda Housing Group, a Naples-based developer focused on expanding access to high-quality, attainable homes. The community was designed to serve individuals, working professionals and families facing rising housing costs and availability challenges across the region.

            The community will feature a variety of floor plans ranging from 574 square feet to 1,047 square feet. Residences will include modern cabinetry, granite countertops, ceiling fans, and washer and dryers. Residents will also have access to a range of amenities, including a clubhouse, fitness center, community pool, playground and outdoor gathering spaces.

            Bayshore Pines was also designed with long-term durability and resiliency in mind. Buildings are constructed two feet above base flood elevation using concrete structures and adhere to national green building standards.

            Onda Housing Group has committed that 100% of residences at Bayshore Pines will remain affordable for households earning up to 60% of the area median income, or $60,600 for a family of three. The company’s 99-year affordability commitment is intended to help preserve attainable housing options for Lee County residents for future generations.

             The development was made possible through partnership with Lee County, Florida Housing Finance Corporation, Citi Community Capital and RBC Community Investments. The project also received tax-exempt bonds through the Florida Housing Finance Corporation, a 4% housing tax credit and Hurricane Ian Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery funding.

            The opening of Bayshore Pines also marks an important milestone in Onda Housing Group’s continued growth. Since breaking ground on the North Fort Myers community, the company has advanced additional developments in Lee and Collier counties, expanding its efforts to meet the region’s diverse housing needs.
