Youth Haven thanks community partners for supporting children and teens through summer events

Youth Haven is recognizing the businesses, organizations and community members who hosted fundraising events, donation drives and service initiatives throughout the summer, helping provide home, hope and healing for youth in its care. As Collier County’s only provider of emergency shelter, at-risk shelter and homeless teen transitional living services for abused, neglected and homeless children and teens ages 6 to 21, these meaningful opportunities ensure Youth Haven’s residents have the support and resources they need to heal and thrive.
“These events demonstrate the compassion and generosity that make our community so special,” said Linda Goldfield, CEO of Youth Haven. “We are incredibly grateful to the businesses, organizations and individuals who chose to support Youth Haven this summer. Their generosity helps provide opportunities, experiences and everyday necessities that make a meaningful difference in the lives of the children and teens we serve.”
Throughout the summer, community partners found creative ways for Southwest Florida residents to gather, shop, dine, volunteer and give back while raising awareness to support Youth Haven’s mission, including:
- June 13: REnew YU Naples Fundraiser – REnew YU Naples hosted a fundraising event featuring a live REYU demonstration, the launch of the Maurigamba Eyewear collection and refreshments provided by Grappino. A portion of the proceeds benefited Youth Haven.
- June 17: Pretty with a Purpose – Robert of Philadelphia Salons and Aqua Medical Aesthetics & Wellness co-hosted the beauty and wellness fundraiser at Robert of Philadelphia Venetian Village in Naples. Guests enjoyed appetizers, champagne and wine, live music by singer-songwriter Ralph Curtis, raffle prizes, luxury blow-dry experiences and special pricing on aesthetic and spa services. A portion of event proceeds benefited Youth Haven.
- July/August: Naples Woman’s Club Donation Drive – The Naples Woman’s Club HOPE Committee organized a donation drive to collect clothing basics and hygiene essentials, helping ensure children and teens arriving at Youth Haven have the everyday necessities that provide comfort, dignity and a fresh start.
- July 22: Shake Shack Donation Day – Shake Shack Mercato hosted a Donation Day during which 25% of eligible sales benefited Youth Haven.
- Aug. 6: Vi at Bentley Village Operation Backpack – Our staff members joined Vi at Bentley Village residents and team members to fill backpacks with notebooks, crayons, pencils and other classroom essentials for Youth Haven and other nonprofit organizations serving children and families throughout Lee and Collier counties. The annual service initiative helps local students begin the school year prepared for success while reflecting Vi at Bentley Village’s longstanding commitment to supporting the Southwest Florida community.
- August: Laces of Love Back-to-School Donation – Laces of Love donated 56 pairs of new sneakers for children and teens in Youth Haven’s care, helping ensure youth had essential footwear as they headed back to school.
Community partnerships play an essential role in helping Youth Haven provide safe shelter, trauma-informed care, therapy, educational support, nutritious meals, life-skills development and enriching experiences that help children and teens heal, grow and build brighter futures.
